good gaming widescreen lcd ?

I don't have any complaints about bleeding on my monitor. But I don't watch
any movies on it, and haven't really gone looking for it. I have noticed a
pretty defined "X" pattern from the lighting when the monitor is displaying
a totally black image, but I've never noticed it during regular use.

Same here but mine is brand new, that (the bleeding) sounds like it
is the sort of thing that might develop over time, or not. You can see
that "X" on a blank screen, I haven't made a totally black image to
test it with, I'll give it a try this evening. (Got a VA appt. this
afternoon. For those who don't know VA appts. are like solar eclipses
if you miss one, it'll be awhile before you will see another. )

I was a little leery of switching from my trusty CRT, but so far this
monitor has been quite impressive.
