ghostscript leaves windword processes

I'm using the ps2pdf.bat file that ghostscript provides through my
vb.net code to convert word documents to pdf.

After each conversion, a winword process is left runnning in the task
manager.

Anybody knows how to prevent this from happening?

Ask the author of "ps2pdf.bat".

Mhm... The OP seems to call a batch file.

No because it's the batch file that starts the process.

I don't instantiate word in my code.
