| Where are you getting Verbatims at 10¢ each? I buy the DataLife disks in
| spindles of 100 for about $24 at Sam's Club, at last purchase anyway
| (several months ago). Are they down to 10¢ now in the U.S.? If so, where?
| (I'm getting low and need more.)

If you keep an eye on ads for such places as Best Buy, you'll often see rebates
available for blank CDs. There will occasionally be a decent brand that nets
out to about $5 for 50 after rebate. I even saw AT&T net out to 99¢ for 50
once, but I didn't get those since I'm not sure who makes them and had doubts
about quality.

That will teach me to post without enough caffeine in my blood.
You're right, somehow I divided 24 by 100 and got .10 ...

Not that there's THAT much difference in the point, of course ...

Well, my point was that I was going to RUSH out and order some of those 10¢
Verbatims before the vendor changed their mind! I just wish it was true.

Howdy!

AT&Ts are made by Verbatim, and says so on the label. So are Iomega
CD-Rs, BTW.

Yah, I went through two of those 1 dollar stacks a few months back
....

Now I'm sorry I didn't get them. I definitely will next time.

I had this same issue rear it's ugly head recently and I think George is
right on target. Try making a ms-dos boot disk in xp, copy the ghost files
to it and give it another shot.

I used DRdos to create my boot disk and ran into exactly the same issue with
a 98se machine here. One other thing is that when ghost restored the image,
it was fat16 instead of the fat32 it should have been. Partiton Magic fixed
the cluster size, but I learned from the experience that it makes good sense
to use a boot disk that is of the same operating system as the destination
disk is supposed to be.
