Freeware Linux from a CD?

Maybe you just got a bad download. Did you use the MD5 checksum to
make sure the download was error free? I just downloaded it and
burned it with Nero using default settings. Good Luck

Found the info (I should learn to Google first!). I found what my
problem was. I am making bad burns with my CD_ROM writer. At slower
speeds it tends to make good burns but at higher speeds (16X +), it
produces CD's with errors.

Thanx for the input. BTW, I like Knoppix the best. That is one sweet
distro.

USB modems are a pain in the ass on every OS (incl. Windows).

Agree with your first statement, can't get mine going at all, but had
no problems whatsoever with my Speedtouch 330 under Win ME.

16x is a really slow speed!!! How old is your burner? Must be ANCIENT!!!

Found out my Burner was going bad. I went to Fry's and they had one for
$40, with a $30 rebate, net cost $10. Hookd it up nad it works just
fine. Much faster, too.
