i have changed the favicon.ico file with another picture file having same
name favicon.ico, cleared temp folder in system and then removed my website
from favourite and added it back then closed the internet explorer and opened
again.

now it is showing favicon in favourite but not in address bar and history of
internet explorer.

Trevor,

I have replyed to Rob Giordan.. and Thomas A. Rowe. Take some attention
there. I am now able to see favicon in favourite but still not in addressbar
and history.

You can atleast set your icon ( favicon.ico ) file again and check it out
with the same process which I have done which I have mentioned in these two
replies to Rob and Thomas and If you are unsuccessful to see favicon atleast
in favourite, download my website's favicon.ico file and upload and test it
back.

I hope you will be get some clue. One more thing, after doing all these
process, let me know what is your experience.

Thanks, Donald

I will look into these replies, But at first glance I see no difference to
what has been tried (by me and others)

I have set my favicon.ico by placng this in the head of index.html and my 3
frames
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/display/favicon.ico"
type="image/x-icon"/>
No difference.

I do notice that the favorites folder will show a new image initially, but
later it resets to the standard IE icon

(I will do more investigating and get back to you if I find anything new.)
