Forum blocking

On the whole IP address thingy. Is it possible to change your IP address so it appears you are in a different country? Nothing malicious, I just want to be able to watch the BBC football highlights over here in Australia!! :-)

Also, can you find out from someones IP address where they are in the world? How do you find someone IP address?

As you can tell, I know very little about IP!! lol.

What..? Can't you get BBC I player there..?

Ermasfor the second..You can get thier IPPip,but not theirs unless you have the software............

Im at work now and BBC iplayer dont work as all our internet traffic is routed through Belgium (euro HQ) Also some ad's on pages are in Belgian. lol
 
No, can't get any of the footie highlights or Iplayer because if you're not in britain you're not paying the license fee. Sucks. Just need to trick them into thinking i'm in britain! lol.

If I have understood the article correctly, it looks like you need to buy a "proxy server package" explained in following link: Setting-up VPN to use in conjunction with an Extender for Windows Media Centre, such as This One. Hope that might be helpful.
