I read every thread in this group except threads with bad quotations
(written by Fergus).

In order to not read the posts with 'bad' quotations, your newsreader must
be able to distinguish them form thos with 'good' ones. Doesn't this imply
that your newsreader 'understands' my quotes?

Yep. The newsreader knows that your posts have very good content but
are formatted in a bad way.
