For owners of scanners not supported by Vista.

Back in the days when I was part of Team HP on COmpuserve we often
recommended using Deskscan 2.9 in place of the later Precisionscan for
people having problems or who preferred the earlier software. I'm using
Dwskscan now on my SJ5p undr VISTA and did under W2K and XP.

Scanjet is HP's generic name for their scanner hardware.

They have had software under the Deskscan name and under Precisionscan.
It is the former -- Deskscan 2.9 -- that I am successfully using under
VISTA and XP.
