Is your "My Documents" folder actually gone, or is it just the desktop
icon that's gone? If it's just the icon, go to Control Panel > Folder
Options > View, and check "Show My Documents on the desktop".

if it's not just the icon, shut down your pc immediately. Get yourself
Ontrack EasyRecovery ($$), GetDataBack ($$) or PC Inspector File Recovery
(free) and let it run. You might not be able to rescue all of your data
since deleted data is in essence nothing more than just free space.
If you're desperately needing those data and you don't have a fully
featured backup with it handy, give your hdd to Ontrack and let them
recover those data. Be warned: this is pretty expensive.
