Just wondering if there is any problems with the new
Firefox compared to the previous version Firebird 7.0?
thanks

I had problems with a missing scroll bar. It was due to using a
theme made for 0.7.

I had a problem with the vertical scrollbar display, but I fixed it by
going to the default skin - my old skin was not compatible with 0.8.

i doesn't work for me problem with "Error launching browser window : no
XBL binding for browser"
at last i test the nightly build version + create a new profil
and it works

It might have been more sensible for you to read the release notes
or ;

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

The problem/solution is clearly explained.

On Win98 I had no problem at all. But now, how do I get rid of the old
Firebird program? Do I just delete the whole folder where Firebird.exe
resides or do I do a uninstall from the control panel and risk messing up
the new Firefox program?

For large files, Dap is invaluable. With
my hi-speed cable internet + DAP, I often get 200-300 kbs transfer rates.

If the server is fast enough I get 700+ KiB/sec with Firefox's built-in
download manager...

Thanks for those links, I'm not sure how I missed that in extensionroom.

However, it failed, twice to install itself into my copy of Firefox 0.8. No
error messages, nothing, and absolutely no indication of its presence. If
it had been obtained from an unknown source, I would consider that very
suspicious behaviour.

I did notice, amongst the comments on that page in extensionroom, that
others had suffered a variety of problems with it, and had had to abandon
it. Looks as though it still needs some work.

Cheers,

Roy
