Were there any issues with installing the motherboard, pc cards, drives,
etc. using that case?

As attractive as this case may be, it is _very_ hard to work in. Its
primary design consideration is sound isolation, not accessibility.

It’s engineered around a simple inductive cooling scheme where one
120mm fan forces cool air in from the bottom and is expelled through
the power supply, which also has a 120mm fan on its underside. It
works well. For a case that has so few fans, my dual core CPU idols at
about 30c and under 100% sustained load, maintains a remarkably
consistent 58c with the stock cooler. That’s well below the published
maximum of 68c, but I’d like to shave about 10c off of that with a
better cooler.

I had to remove the fan entirely to access the bottom drive cage. It’s
also adjacent to many of the pin connectors on the MB, so every time
you make a change, it's a major operation.

The great thing about this case is that it's every bid as quite as the
manufacture claims. That Fujitsu drive is the fastest drive on the
planet, but also among the noisiest. I don’t hear it at all, but can
sometimes feel the vibration of it seeking. I can only hear the PSU
fan when it’s at full throttle.

Overall I’m quite pleased with it.

What is the drive under the front panel, looks like a floppy and maybe some
other kind of storage?

It's a combination floppy / 9-in-1 card reader. The reader segment
attaches to one of the USB headers on the motherboard and the floppy
attaches in the traditional way.

You said you wanted to get better cooling, what would you use to do that?
Do you have a particular fan in mind, or just a larger one, etc.?
