Hey Fred! :-)
Hey Lynn:

Happened to see this thread tonight. I saw you mention "Baltimore", and I
immediately began singing: "I love you Baltimore/There's the flasher who
lives next door/There's the bum on his barroom stool/They wish me luck on my
way to school..."

My family and I went twice in the last month to see the Toronto production
of "Hairspray", (my wife's friend played Edna Turnblatt...), and I've
obviously listened to the cd *way* too much lately!

Jan's place seems nice, but she's only 45 minutes from Washington, seat of
the government of the world's most powerful nation! Jan, does it really
feel "out of the way"?! I'm going to look it up on a map!Well...Warrenton is actually rather outside the realm of the 'DC' loop, so
to speak. This is Main St. - Downtown Warrenton at rush hour..........

ROFL. I actually lived in Glen Burnie, which is a suburb on the south side
of Baltimore. It was a nice place to live, but the whole are is just way too
populated for my tastes.

I've never seen "Hairspray" but I'll bet it's good. You need to take that CD
out and put in one from a good Barbershop quartet instead... :-)

Oh, it's not hard to get to idyllic places with just a short drive out of
DC. You can tell that from the pictures Jan posted too.

I think this might be getting *way* too off topic, so I'll just say:

Jan.. the pictures convinced me! What a nice looking place!

Lynn: You "barbershoppers" are such proselytizers! There was once a teacher
on staff at my school who was a barbershop singer and he was just the same!
My brother was actually in a barbershop group, once. Oh, I've been to a few
concerts in my time, believe me! I even know what SPEBSQSA means! Keep
singing, Lynn!

Well, our mission is to keep Barbershop harmony alive, so we gotta do some
promoting from time to time. Not many people can say what SPEBSQSA means
anymore, if they ever could, so we are actually starting, officially, to use
another name now -- The Barbershop Harmony Society.

Trust me, I'll keep singing. Singing is life... :-)
