Not bad to be a new product! Has a couple of nifty features that even the
"standards" don't have. I encourage everyone to try it and write the
author with requests. He is eager to develop a good product, and has already
incorporated a couple of my requests.

I just started using this and find that it's very nicely done (with a quite
attractive interface). It might even take the place of the (commercial) ACDSee
on my computer. (Although Irfanview is my file viewer of choice, I don't like
the way that it has implemented the thumbnail browser feature.)

now this is an interesting product! It seems fast, clean, has some
handy editing features, and has some features I have not seen
elsewhere.....like magnifier that you can sweep over the screen at
various sizes and magnifications ....and access to all features and
menus in full-screen....including a row of thumbnails so you don't
have to leave full-screen to pick one. VERY nice viewer!

But what Bob Adkins didn't say is that they have several other
interesting products there too. A screen capture program, a resizer,
and even a browser (built in IE, alas)......

worth a look..

I tried it out (well for a few minutes before work...) and found it
rather nice. I think it will be a keeper, at least for a while.

Yea, I forgot to mention that. :(

Really I did! What? :\

The best thing is, the author is sincere about his products, and takes
suggestions to improve them.

What are some of it's unique features?

Maybe you should have posted this under the other persons post. I do
not know what features are unique.

El Gee, you must also have heard about the dyslexic theologian who spent the
first 20 years of his career studying the origin of dog.

(Sorry for the off-topic, but couldn't resist.)

I believe it all started with wolves.

There is indeed a dog, I have one! It's a Chihuahua, and just because
they are small does not mean they don't exist. Oh wait... You both mean
GOD! Hahahahahahah...

Okay, so I take it, this image viewer doesn't offer any unique fearures. ;)

I had looked at *all* the faststone stuff a few days ago, and I was not
impressed. The browser looks sharp, but is not working in all areas. The
other programs were "ok". Pacman looked the best of the bunch, IMHO (not
free). I suspect as the dev works on them the programs will be more
desirable to me.

You should consider a threaded view.

how do you make it not look like a mac?

Never mind, I'm stupid. I would prefer that it used the WindowBlinds
skins I have, instead of it's own limited selection. it also ignores the
LiteStep-set desktop area, so the right and bottom edges of all viewed
pictures are off the screen.

It doesn't appear to handle descript.ion files, either. That's one of my
few requirements in an image viewer, and why I'm still using ACDSee 3.0.

Yes, I too want to replace my Acdsee 3.1 but only with a viewer that
supports those descript.ion files.

I find that with a big folder then Acdsee 3 can be sluggish. I would
like something a bit better.

I tried ACDSee 4 and didn't think it was worth going to. I also
tried the free XnView but I didn't like it much.

Do you or anyone else know of any other picture viewers which support
descript.ion files?

I never went beyond ACDSee 2.42. I don't find it sluggish. It is
probably on oldversions.com.

having tried the image viewer a few days and found it very nice in
many ways, I was grumpy to discover that it creates a database of
thumbnails...with no way to turn it off that I can see! This slowly
builds up a huge file, if you have as many pics as I do....If they'd
allow users to control that feature, they might have something.
