I have Exchange 5.5 running on my Win2K server. I need tobe able to send secure emails to outside companies. Do I need to set up a subordinate CA on my win2k box, a Public root CA and Key Management server in Exchange 5.5? This is a NT 4.0 domain and upgrading to Win2k is not possible at this time. Thanks much.

if you cannot upgrade domain to Windows 2000, you would have to install the
CA on the Windows 2000 KMS machine which will provide the functionality you
are looking for. Just use a standalone root CA option.
