Flower, I followed the instructions from one of the others on the forum and
if you go to; your window, click tools, click options, click spelling tab,
and in the language drop down select another language (any language) click
apply. Re-select your language (English) click apply and click okay. Should
work Good luck.

Bonjour,
is there a way to have two languages active at the same time as it was with
outlook ?

Not in Windows Mail, but I believe it is possible with Windows
Live Mail. You can ask in its newsgroup:

you are right : Live Mail support multi language

How Does Windows Live Mail Know What Language to Use When Spellchecking?

In many cases, Windows Live Mail will automatically detect what language you're
using and spellcheck in that language. So how do we do that? When you set up
Windows, you told it what language you wanted to use, and we ask Windows to
give us that same information.

What does this mean for you? If you only use one language, it means that you
don't have to mess around with your spellchecking settings - Windows Live
Mail just knows what language to use for spellchecking. However, if you
often send mail in different languages you can use the Language Bar, a
Windows tool that allows you to easily change languages in Windows. Whenever
you do this, Windows Live Mail will pick up that change in a couple seconds
and switch the language being used to spellcheck the email you're composing.
Here's some information about the Language Bar and how you can use it to
switch languages:

I am having the same issue what can be done to correct the problem

Tools menu>options>spelling>select 'always check spelling'>apply.

In the language section below, change the spelling language to another
one, French>apply/ok.

Then change it back to English again>apply/ok

HTH?

What same problem?
Since you didn't quote a prior message, I don't know what you're replying
to.

If you're getting an error message about the language not being available,
just select another language, click on Apply, then re-select the one you
want, and click Apply..

I too am unable to use my spellcheck with my email. What the devil is going
on? Please help me. I really need this since I am not exactly the Spelling
Bee Queen.
