#1. Boot using the previous kernel... Immediately after the BIOS screen comes up, you will just for a second, see where it says in the upper left to ‘press Esc’ for more options. This is your hidden GRUB (boot) menu, press Esc and then select the third line down. This will allow you to boot into the kernel you were using previously.
Thats a good tip.
I have never seen that option as it flickers through screens realy fast at normal boot up
Tried the third option, the previous kernal install and got zip. So I tried the present recovery mode. It gave me four options and I tried the second one down and then rebooted. Got a GUI, desktop and everything loks ok, except that on me 17" Ilyama screen I have a black border running down the left side and the bottom of the screen. So I will have to reinvestigate redoing the Nividia drivers.
