Yep! Error 105 is the dead give-away.

Don't allow P/M to repair for the problem if you have multiple partitions on
your drive. You WILL lose all of your personal photos and music you have
saved to the other partitions.

Thanks, I guess I had to learn the hard way.
Really wish I knew it was a false error. :(

Why does lose photos & music files on other partitions?
It shouldn't touch these.

When you allow PM to repair said 105 error your entire drive will show as
unallocated space - the entire drive, not just the Vista partition.
Everything will be gone. Take it from someone who has been there!

whats the reason to have it? ideally you want to plan ahead and set your
partitions once on a drive before installing an OS

No, ideally you want theflexibility to change partition
size without loss of data.

I used the product for years when it was from PowerQuest, however I do not
trust and will not install anything from Symantec/Norton.

A wise man. Their software are virtual viruses.

Thanks again,
PM would not repair my drive I had to just delete the partition and start all over again.
It said something like PM wouldn't repair because it could loose data.
Well if you have to delete the partition you will definitely do that?
