Adam, check your PC user manual to see if there is a way of creating a
recovery disc from your recovery partition. It is always best to have a
backup just in case of problems at a later date. Failing that, it would be
wise to invest I imaging software such as Acronis True Image and then image
your partitions to either a removable hard drive or a set of DVD's.
My machine came pre-installed with Vista but I stripped off the PC
manufacturer' copy (Vista Premium) and installed a full retail copy of Vita
Ultimate. But prior to doing that I imaged the original Vista premium to a
set of DVD's, so I can easily re-install Vista premium if I wanted to. My
machine actually came with a hidden recovery partition and a Vista premium
DVD.
Good luck on the install of the Japanese version.
