Ok Girls and Guys.

What car/vehicle do you drive/use for pleasure and or commuting, and more importantly why;:)

Now the question;;)

What would be your dream motor? and why.

My car.

For the car people out there, ala spec:

1995 (end of) Peugeot 306 XR (1600 injection) - 5 doors, Cherry red.

Power assisted steering, Elec. Windows, Elec. Sunroof, Airbag, Safety belt pretensioners, ICE, Fox Evo 3 16" Alloys.

Ala picture:

She looks great and goes like a rocket.

Why did i buy this car?

Well i wanted something more than a sardine can on wheels - something that i felt safe in, as this is a first car. Something big enough to fit 5 people in comfortably, yet something that i can safely throw into bends when i'm in the mood, also something with enough power to be able to accelerate away from danger.

306 XR was a perfect choice for me - Propels me from 0-60 in 9.5 seconds which for a car of its type isn't too shabby - and i can fit mates/family in and LOTS of luggage also.

What would i have if i could have anything?

Need i say more? 0-60 in 5 seconds, unbelievable traction. Fun to drive.

1.6 Supercharged engine. Makes the nicest noise you could ever hear.

thats what i gotta say :)

Sweet car Chris!!!!!!!, I have no doubt that its fun to drive too. I almost bought I scion xA which I feel is similar to your car. And I have to agree, I don't think your 0-60 is bad at all....is it manual or automatic. In either case you can always relace your filter with a cold air intake like on my car. The total cost is around $200.00 USD and available for almost any car on the planet. It should add about 20-30 Hp to the car and may even shave a whole second from that 0-60. Thier are some other tips too, like indexing your spark plugs, and changing out your ECU. Just like pc's there is a whole other world of modding.

I love this car, well I have to say its the first car I've owned with less than 200,000 miles in it. And it had no dents, scratches and even had a warrenty.
Its a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon. Specs, 2.0L 16 Valve dual over head cams(make get them machined or replaced with performace ones). Listed 0-60 is 7.8 but as I said in another post, it just can't be, i'd like to think mine does 0-60 in 6.5-6.8 15in alloy rims, 5 speed manual with a solid chrome led stick shifter. And it drives well, I tend to put a little too much gas into the turns, and to be honest it could take them better, the car is not as low or as wide as my Eagle Talon was but is an all around more reliable car. But perhaps in investment in lowering springs, or shorter struts will solve that.

i have a W 1.0L vauxhall corsa (which is incredibly slow :o ), no mods yet but considering its a 1L i doubt i'll do much other than the I.C.E.

dream car would have to be a mid 60's chevy nova SS like the one attached, maybe without the big scoop but still with the big 'ol V8 :D

Raje a cold air intake is not worth 20-30Hp, if your lucky you'll get 2-3Hp

i will add pics of my car later, camera batteries are dead

To correct the above, a cold air/induction filter will not give any increase in horsepower unless an aftermarket backbox or exhaust system is installed. What it will do, however, is increase the throttle response therefore making the car seem nippier.

Blimey... if it added 30hp, thats would increase my cars horse break by a third!

Were just about to get one of these...

been in the family since new... 1970 something...

3.0 litre V8, Hard and soft top!

Triumph Stag - Perfect condidtion. Whenever the smallest thing went wrong it was fixed, whenever it had the smallest scratch, it was re-sprayed.

We cant wait :)
