Nope. That's what you should see. Those are HTML files with .php
extensions.

The autorun file should start the index file that's in the root
directory of the CD: index.html

If it doesn't you can start it manually. The links should work as they
do in the on-line web pages. The only difference is that you won't be
able to sort by clicking on the column headings in the tables.

Susan,
I also found that the internal links on a given page don't work
either. For instance, put the CD in and let it open the index page.
Select the Business-Home link from the Index. When you click on any of
the links that should jump you down the page (for instance, Office
Suite) you get a "This page cannot be displayed" page. However, if from
the Index page of the CD you click on the link that says "Pricelessware
CD File List" that table contains links to all the program files on the
CD (I think). The internal link-anchor thing not working is only a
minor annoyance. Good job to all who worked on this!

I don't have a copy of the CD yet. Those links work okay for me in the
copy of the web pages I have on my hard drive. Could you download the
zip file with the web pages and try the links on those pages?

I'm using Mozilla - this might be a browser specific problem. . .

Nevermind. . . I tried the links in IE and saw the problem you report.

That's my bad - I broke something and didn't catch it. The pages do work
in Mozilla. . .

FWIW - I've been validating web pages for the last couple of days.
Whatever is broken in the CD web pages has already been fixed in the
on-line pages.

FYI - Anyone using a browser that doesn't recognize a URL with blank
spaces in it will have problems navigating to the program files via the
browser interface. I think that *might* include the OffByOne browser. . .

Yes thanks Max, I'm interested in another attempt, my copy also had
corrupt files in the root directory.

Torrent sounds a bit complicated.

Thanks

Mark Warner put a copy in the mail to me. Thanks for the offer Omar.

The USPS is plumb weird. Yours was in the first batch I sent, and you're
in an adjacent state. One from the same batch reached the California
yesterday.

A day or two is nothing. (Last year was much weirder than that.) ;)

You have an email from me - please check your inbox.

TIA

Further investigation shows the internal page links don't work in IE but
do work in NS 7 and FF 1. Very interesting.

Apologies for the multiple posts. My newsreader appeared not to send
the message. Now I see that it did (several times...<sigh>)...

Hi Jim,

I know of one other problem in IE - the "front page" doesn't show
"Pricelessware" across the top. . .

Have you thought of switching to a more error-tolerant browser? ;)

Thanks for that. I was about to start calling you Lou. :)

Susan,
Actually, I have NS 4, NS 7, FF 1 and IE 6 installed. Had a flavor of
Mozilla previously as well. Apparently IE is my default browser because
that's what the index.html on the CD opened in. However, I rarely use
it unless a page is obviously not displaying correctly in FF (what I use
most of the time).
