If you don't mind if I jump in here, yes your primary DNS suffix is a
single label name on the server. But is that the actual domain name
in ADU&C?
I ask because your client machine is daeoffice.local, which leads me
to believe that your AD domain name is daeoffice.local. If
daeoffice.local is the domain name in ADU&C then you would have a
disjointed namespace, which can also cause 5781s to be logged..
Please verify your AD domain name in ADU&C, if it is daeoffice.local
then email Ace or me direct for a script to correct the Primary DNS
suffix of the DC.
Ace's email is firstnamelastname at hotmail.com for mine remove the
nospam. from the domain.

I'm glad to have been able to help, one more thing, you need to change your
connection Specific suffix, or you can remove it completely.
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : DAEOFFICE
The TCP/IP stack will try to register using the connection specific suffix,
also.

Ok, I took care of the Connection-specific DNS suffix. It was causing a problem. Thanks

Now another problem I have. When I log on I am getting the following error in the even viewer

Event ID 105

These two events may be related, but in order to help you please post the

Sorry, didn't see the Event ID 1000. Here's the basis of registration with
AD and DNS:

1. Primary DNS Suffix (as you see it in ipconfig) must match the AD domain
name
2. THe zone name in DNS must match the above
3. Only use this DNS server for AD.
4. Updates set to at least Yes on the zone.

Can you provide a dcdiag /v and a netdiag /v?
Thanks
