conversion,

Yup. 'Cause working without them isn't on the menu. ;-)

...'k...makes good sense..
See, that's the problem. Good chicken soup got no feathers.
Now how you gonna make a chicken without feathers?

Really?? Good chicken soup has no feathers? But...uh..Grandma never told
me this. She just said 1 med size chicken cut up into small pieces. But,
she never mentioned anything about taking off the feathers.??? Well...I did
wonder why no one ever wanted seconds of my chicken soup.

I can't imagine a chicken without feathers. However, I did see a chicken
with no feathers once. Yea...it was a young Rooster at my grandma's, and it
was suffering from stress from being harassed by all the other chickens, and
it developed a really bad skin condition and it lost all it's feathers,
except for the very tip of it's tail and the top of it's head. It was really
a pitiful sight. Especially when it came time to flap it's wings and crow
early in the morning. Just..pitiful...

Jan, I will never respond to the call of a rooster in the same way again.
Instead of feeling around for the largest, heaviest object I can throw, I
will snatch up a soft blanket, some seed and rush out to nurture the poor
thing.
