Hello
I regularly defrag my Windows XP SP1 using the Windows defragger Afte
defragging my c drive, the analyzer says I should defrag again. Thi happen
even when I run defrag from Safe Mode

The analysis says that it could not defrag "documents an settings" which i
1.5 gigs. The drive is 10 gigs with 2.7 gigs free

Does anyone know what I should do to really defrag the drive or kno why th
analysis says to defrag so quickly

Thanks

Bo

Try Diskeeper Lite, although it doesnt have the automatic features o
the paid version, still a neat utility

So, I'm assuming that you have manually disabled the "automatic" defrag that
Windows XP is going to try to do on your drive about every 3 days? You also
might want to tell Microsoft to re-write their white paper on Windows XP
performance where they list as the number one issue for consideration when
evaluating Windows XP - fragmentation.

It may not on your particular system but for the majority of people, it does
make a difference. While most people don't have the understanding of the
file system as I have in order to know fragmentations effects on
performance, defragmenting does make a difference for most people.
