I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts [yes, that's how it's really spelled] that
NAV interfered with the proper install of 942615.

You can test this:

1. Disable NAV then uninstall 942615 via Add/Remove Programs.

2. Reboot and disable NAV again.

3. Don't do /anything/ else online except going immediately to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com > select CUSTOM and scan > (Re)Install
942615 and any other critical updates offered [Do NOT install IE7!] > Follow
all prompts, and make certain you reboot.

If 942615 isn't currently installed, just do #1 and #3.

Has anybody experienced any problems with MSIE7 in Vista? Since we installed
the patch, the java applet won't work at all. Any ideas?

Not a clue. Don't use IE7. - that is why I am reading posts in the IE6
group.
I would suggest you start your own thread instead of taking onto the end of
another's, of which the subject appears to have no connection with your
problem.
In addition, the post you have joined is a month old.

You have a choice of a more appropriate group in which to post

Microsoft Windows Vista Newsgroups
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.mspx

IE7 questions should be posted to the Internet Explorer General newsgroup as
below - as you are using that web interface discussion group, the first or
third are recommended.

In your Newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you need to use the Web Interface -
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Good luck with the problem
