I would like a field to automatically be field in with the current user that
is logged in to the computer.

Hello:

Why the assumption that AlienSmurf is using Google Groups for his searching?
If I go to the web-based newsreader (via support.microsoft.com/newsgroups),
and go to the "Access Forms" group, and do a search using the "Search for:"
textbox on the term "current logged user", I see only this thread and two
others. Is it possible that is the place he did a search which didn't get
him any hits? :)

I'd worked with computers for many, many years before I discovered how
wonderful newsgroups were. Even after I discovered newsgroups I wasn't aware
of Google Groups searching for quite a while. However, IIRC, I was lucky
enough to have someone tell me about Google Groups and how to use it.

Aliensmurf, do you know about using Google Groups to search for relevant
newsgroup posts? If not, please post back, and I'd be happy to tell you how!
You'll find the answers to many, many common questions quickly and easily
using Google searches!

Cheers!
Fred Boer

P.S. Sure hope I didn't do something wrong when I searched the web-based
newsreader! ;)

Hello:

I know exactly that he/she did't used "Deja" (this was the original
company before google bought them).
This is the reason I gave this link

BTW: I am not a user in microsoft......., because with a real
newsreader (not OE) it is much easier to read and answer

P.S. Sure hope I didn't do something wrong when I searched the web-based
newsreader! ;)
Why? you only harm yourself not finding the old stuff

Searching the "forms coding group" for keywords "windows login" gave me only
five results, but two of them were excellent examples.

BTW: I was never on the website and I am to lazy to look at it.
Is there a FAQ?

my next question in mind is nonsense, but never the less lets ask it:

Is there a hint to search first?

Dear Andi:

My point was that AlienSmurf might have used the Microsoft web-based
newsgroup reader, and had correctly reported that no hits were found...

I know exactly that he/she did't used "Deja" (this was the original

I'm sorry but I don't understand the above; forgive me if I am being slow!

This just meant that I was hoping I hadn't made a mistake that would make me
look inept!

Cheers!
