oh, yeah. set to standard defaults, no OC stuff with an unknown CPU, the
thing would not even get to the OS at all on a system that was just shut
down and had been working fine with a 2.8c in it.
I saw heat sink lube on or around 4 of the pins on the underside and a
couple of pins were very slightly bent, nothing serious, but enough so it
wouldn't just drop into a socket... very slight, gentle nudge under a
magnifying glass and the CPU would drop right in... not saying all this has
anything to do with it but just think this CPU may have had a rough life or
something...

what can I expect for violating the AUP, right?)
