Curiosity has ..... on Mars!

Heres a thought ..if we did find water below the surface there and could plant a tree then we could turn slightly the atmosphere from CO2 to O2..thus creating a more suitable place !! just a thought

That is called "terra forming" The trouble on Mars is that it has very little "air" that can be breathed,in fact we would die in seconds if we were to step out side of a space craft or space dome without protection. Also because it has a lower gravity than earth Mars has lost nearly all of it`s atmosphere. And it has no tectonic plate movement unlike earth. So no tectonic movement no volcano`s. No volcano`s no more gases are being generated to replace the atmosphere. But if it did create more "air" because of the solar wind it quickly gets stripped off to outer space.

Very cool interactive panorama of Mars here....

How was this panorama made?

This is an interactive impression of the Curiosity rover and its Gale Crater landing site. It is built from a range of image sources, including early black and white images sent back to Earth by the one-tonne robot. One of the key landmarks, Mount Sharp, was constructed using this image.

The pictures have been stitched together and coloured. There are, however, some omissions that have had to be filled in by the photo artist to complete a full panorama. For example, the sky and the Sun have been added based on imagery by Nasa's previous rover Spirit.

Nasa's policy is to post all Curiosity's raw pictures on the internet. This allows anyone - amateur and professional image processors - to build their own galleries of Mars.

Curiosity, also known as the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL), landed on 6 August GMT.
