I suppose you guys had better luck with nVidia?

Certainly :)

In fact, the last two ATI cards I had - 9800GT's, AGP flavour - both died on me.

I haven't had an Nvidia card fail on me yet, far as I can recall.

But that wouldn't stop me buying an ATI if it was good for the money and outperformed it's Nvidia peer.

Guess you were just unlucky :(

Flopps,

I hate nVidia, because of a bad experience from them, from 2006-2007, ALL of my games always crashed back to desktop, exept Toontown, this was solved when I ripped out the nVidia card and put an ATI one in my desktop PC.

I suppose you guys had better luck with nVidia?
Tbh, sounds more like dodgy drivers.... ;)

Yes, NV FTW> :D

No, it was still a problem. Anyway don't even suggest me getting nVidia because I'M NOT LISTENING! If you suggest ATI, then I AM LISTENING!

Then, respectfully, you're a fool :)

Respectfully?! Sarcasm!

What's wrong if I like ATI and not nVidia? Why you got a problem with that?
It's my life. I choose what I like and what I hate, not you. And you shouldn't call people a fool just because they don't like what you like.

Blind loyalty to a faction that shifts is foolish.

Simple.

I hope you're happy with your chosen loyalty, I really do.

In a lifetime, I doubt you'll understand.

I wish you well :)

Nothing at all wrong with you liking ATI, after all its your computer..But I think the general concenses is and this comes from a multitude of gamers I work with and know, and from what i've read from members on this forum, is that nVidia is far better..As for been called a fool, relax a bit..Take things a bit more light heartedly..

nVidia - The way it's NOT meant to be played, thats what I say.

No harm in that Captain, evrybody is welcome to their own opinion based on their own experiences...

Well truthully, the only products that I like from nVidia (Tested at friends house) are the pricey nVidia GTX and SLI (NOT GeForce). I hate GeForce because they were the graphics range I have problems with.

Sorry but everytime I see this I cringe.... the 9800GT was made by NVidia.
Suprised no-one mentioned this earlier :p

ATI actually used the 9 series naming convention first,

just google 9200, 9600, 9800, all AGP cards, then they moved on to the X800, then 1950, then 2900, then 3870 now 4870.

I know it wasn't a GT but more likely an SE or whatever.

I'm with Flopps and a few others, I prefer nVidia to ATI. I have to admit though, that my current card is ATI... :p only because it has support for three monitors - with it having three DVI ports. I do detest the ATI Control Centre (or whatever it's called lol)

My previous card was the nVidia 8800 GT - great card if I say so myself hehe :)

Thanks for the Help...

Hey dear, thank you for the help, I was really worried about this game coz I am running Windows 7 64 bit and I didn't know how to make this game work...

Now I am downloading the file but its size is about 361 MB. Which is a challenge for me on my slow internet [64kbps internet]... lolz, I hope to download it soon...

Thank you guyz...

As this thread has been woken up I've just noticed this.

Ok, the GT extension was probably wrong but the ATI cards I had were most certainly ATI cards and as was pointed out probably had an SE extension.

So chew on that smarty-pants :)

Good cards they were as well, until they went belly-up on me.

Probably a 9800 Pro or a 9800 All in Wonder etc. :)
