Actually this is far worse then the Norm! My friend uses AOL for her e-mail
and for her business. I have told her time and time again she's playing with
fire. Well she finally got bit! She was upgrading from AOL 9.0 to 9.0a and
one of the e-mail files in the Organize folder got a data error in it. CRC
error to be exact. This is a 15 meg file with ALL her business stuff in it.
I've been attempting to find away around this CRC error. The file itself has
no extension like .exe after it. Its one of them strange AOL files and of
course AOL is of no help at all. They just want your money! Oh she's really
angry cause they told her to do this upgrade and she didn't want to do it.
Its a mess for sure!
Was looking at something called SpinRite, maybe that would help not sure! I
can't do a thing with this file. Can't open it, move it, copy it, nothing!
Just get this CRC data error when I try to do anything with it.
