No Way !

You could be harvesting email addresses to create a spam list !

Alright, fair enough. Is their any way you could check the headers or
something to find out what address is being used in the reply to. I have no
idea how to go about it.

I can understand your concern but I assure you I am no spam freak, but I
understand your caution.

Thanks in advance if you can help

If you were, would you be saying anything different?

I guess not lol, good point - but it still doesn't answer my question. I
know that all sorts of information can be gathered from message headers etc.
I simply want to know if my real e-mail is obtainable from posts in any way
at all. I would look myself but have not a clue as to where to look

I don't use OE,
so maybe someone who does can tell you how to show all header info.
All I see is a munged from addy and a reference to a UK news server.

How about?

Well, thats my IP address alright. i guess there isnot any way of not
sending that, but I reckon my firewall is none too bad so I am not too
worried about that.

I think my e-mail is pretty safe now methinks, but I guess time will tell.
Cheers for the help

I don't see anything automatically harvestable in your headers.

However, your NNTP Posting host is there, so educated
guesses could be made ~ I wouldn't worry about it though.

(unless you taunt the hackers and crackers)

Probably more like [first initial][last name][maybe some numbers] at
ntlworld.com or ntli.net. But I doubt he has to worry about it.

Unless it's that loudmouth Duane,
then you can call his bluff all you want,
he can't "own" anything. ;-)

Aye it does - cheers
