Copy all files

I need to copy all directories and files from 'd' disk to 'e' disk and
because there is a pot full of them, I'm looking for a ghost type of
program.

I looked in Pricelessware but couldn't determine the category and didn't
find anything.

Can anyone point me to the right program?

More betterer <G> would be the freeware xxcopy. Excellent program

That xxcopy is slick and FAST.

Used it as xxcopy d: / clone f:

Now I can have d for Linux.

It all came out in the wash but I wrongly assumed (there's that word again)
that 'clone' would move everything to the other disk. Well it does. It
also removes every thing that is on the target disk, I found.

Luckily I had the files, some movies, still on this computer and using
ethernet I replaced them on the target disk.

BTW I did load Linux. Things went swimmingly. I believe it partitioned it
several times but don't know. Any favorite place to get the codes to see
the disk, like 'dir' in dos?

I had a choice of desktops and I took the first one. I assume there is a
place to learn of those things too?

On boot, which works fine by the way, is about 5 options and I need only two
so I'll have to try them to see what they do.

My arm isn't long enough to move the mouse from one side to the other.
There has to be a speed and travel adjustment somewhere.

Don't know if anybody can help me on this or not. I have a friend that just
purchased a new PC. All here text files on her old PC were in Lotus Word Pro.

She has save them on a flash memory card and is not able to open/view them on
the new PC which of course is loaded with Micro$oft programs.

Does anybody know of a program that would convert a ".lwp" file to ".doc"? Or
may it be as simple as saving the original as ".doc"

AFAIK Word can import Lotus WordPro files. If not, she can always
install her version of WordPro on the new PC and save the files as
*.docs.

This will not work. You'll end up with a WordPro file in disguise.

It's not freeware, but if it's a one-off set of jobs, the trial period
of Quickview Plus may do the job for you.

The Lotus SmartSuite Viewer, KeyView is still available for free here:

It will display .lpw files (also Lotus 123, Freelance and AmiPro
Files).

You can print from it, so use that frequently posted nagware "Paperless

Printer" to convert the documents to RTF, PDF, or HTML:

You can convert the HTML and RTF into DOC files in Word.
