(No nonsense of calling-home/start-up crud and
the like.)

I finally found a use for dud.exe, which is to address just this problem

http://www3.telus.net/_/dud/

============================

Dud is a program that does absolutely nothing. Run it and it will
immediately unload. It can be used as a replacement for annoying system
files, such as helpctr.exe or stobject.dll. Simply replace the file with
dud.exe, and you'll never see the offending app again.

The zipped package is 1kb. Dud.exe itself is merely 3kb, using 60kb of
memory.

Anyone know an app that will convert Real Audio (.ra) files to another
format? Ideally WAV but Windows Media, mp3, anything would work.

Real7time Converter.

Correct spelling of the program name is Real7ime, not Real7time (note
the "t" in the latter.) Homepage is here:

Hey, I knew that! But missed it big time ... ^_^
Haven't used it though. Looks good anyway.

I've used it a few times, and it worked very well.

Well thanks for point it out! Should have said that in my reply, but was
in a hurry (forget why.)

I meant "pointING" rather than "point". Sorry.
