Hi Rick....
I've a same problem as Frank. Now I'm planning to rebuilding my existing
application using Access/Jet Engine to ASP.Net/SQL Server.
Question: 1)What are sort of training I should go in order for me to master
my understanding in ASP.NET and SQL Server administration.? 2) How much I
have to spent to buy ASP.NET modules & SQL Server software ?
Hope you can reply my queries soonest possible.
Thank you

You can use SQL-Express providing that a 4 GB database will be sufficient.
That is free. For a .NET application, you will need Visual Studio, the price
of which varies, check on line. You cannot fumble your way through
SQL-Server administration or Visual Studio programming. I suggest that you
be prepared to spend several thousand dollars for training. A simple
tutorial will not do for either. Pay particular attention to learning
security for web based applications. As soon as you wander past your
firewall, you will need much more stringent security measures.

Thank you for your prompt response.....
That's meant if I buy Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, ASP.NET is inclusive...?

This newsgroup is for Questions and Answers about Microsoft Access database
software, specifically, for technical questions.

There are multiple levels and editions of Visual Studio -- you would be
better served to find a newsgroup for Visual Studio to determine just the
software you need to create an ASP.NET application, and what you need in the
way of either your own or a hosted server. I believe that someone
authorized to sell Microsoft products in your jurisdiction would be the
proper person to address issues of price.
