Can I have both Office 2003 and Office 2007 on the same Vista machine (a
laptop)? I need both. I have 4 gb of ram and about 200 gb left of a 320 gb
HD. Is this sufficient? Thanks.

Why do you need both?

I'm trying to figure out why you'd need both also?
Only thing I can think of is custom Scripts you have

However to answer your question

Office 2003 Requires 400MB of HD Space

Office 2007 Requires 1.5GB of Space

Read and fully understand the implications of this KB article from
Microsoft.

One version only of Outlook.

Word also has small issue (about 1/2 way down article) that can normally be
alleviated by the fix shown there (Office 2007 is Office 12 while Office
2003 is Office 11 so the complete fix is to do the registry edit twice once
for Office 12 and the other by substituting Office 11 for Office 12 in the
instructions. I currently run one system (for training) with all versions
of Office since Office 4.3 which was for Windows 3.11. Not everything runs
100% but Office 2003 & 2007 run without issues (except for the one copy of
Outlook only.)

I am using MS Office 2000 (ex a Windows 98 instal), MS Office 2003 (ex a
Windows XP install), and parts of MS Office 2007 (new install) on one
machine. For reasons too complicated to explain, so don't ask.

But they all reside and function perfectly happily. The only caveat: I
have found that existing shortcuts on the quicklaunch toolbar before the
install of 2007 subsequently link to the 2007 versions. Other menu
shortcuts are fine.

2GB memory, 300gb C drive.
