Cloning

I doubt very much that this is a legal copy. Norton Ghost is, as far
as I know, an expensive (overprices IMO) commercial software program.
I emailed Symantec about the page and they'll let me know if it's
freeware or not.

I posted using Norton Ghost for cloning because the original poster in
the thread said he tried it and it did not work. My purpose in posting
was to clear up his error in how he used Ghost. Norton Ghost is not
free and my copy is a legal copy that came with the purchase of my
motherboard.

Not to worry. Although doubtful, I really was curious about whether or
not there was indeed a legal freeware version of Norton Ghost.

I think the OP listed to a URL in which the programs an individual
placed on his/her personal boot CD were listed.

The page "looked" like each program could be downloaded, but the links
only gave information for each program iirc.

The person who created the page was wanting other programs that might
be good to add to the CD, as well as suggesting a similar setup for a
boot CD to anyone who had the commercial programs.

Norton Ghost might well be the only decent program Symantec offers. I
doubt they will ever give it away.
