Check email on server before downloading

I'll recommend poptray;

it suits me perfectly. and I don't want to enter a discussion, for all I
know it's *not* the best.

You can make rules with regular expressions, multiple accounts, just
inspect the headers, delete the ones you don't want of the server.

It's not "intelligent", but I guess you are, and the spam never even comes
on to your computer
