Changing Windows CD Key

Maybe you should try the same A$$munch!

And I quote "Instead of doing a clean wipe and reinstalling everything - is
there a way
to change just the Serial number (using it from the new copy) and activate
and register it with that new key? "

Sorry, trying to keep it clean for the kiddies, what I was thinkin was much
more obscene but not propper for a NG.

That will work ONLY with using another Key for the same type of media.

The OP wants to change a VL install to non-VL one, and the
Magicjellybean won't do that.

Had you read the ENTIRE thread, not just the OP, you may have been able
to figure that out before posting your BS. And besides, you don't even
need a special tool to change keys of similar types, you can do it with
the activation wizard that is part of Windows XP.

Whatever dude...
I replied to HIS post with a fix that worked for me.

You were able to change a VL PK to a non VL-PK with the utility from
Magic Jellybean?

I very much doubt that.

At least till my body and mind really start to fail me, then pull my
feeding tube, _AND_ then overdose me on morphine. Cremate me, after
death, and sprinkle my ashes in as many bongs as you can find!

Kurt, not everyone has the same problems with Magic Jellybean's
utility as you do.
