Kony's right Paws, I'm yet to see him give innaccurate information (and
doubt it's gonna happen). Take everything you read here with a pinch of
salt. If you read long enough you'll soon see who the people are who
actually *know* what they are talking about.

Thanks, Misfit. I know Kony has been very helpful in the past when I was
having a problem with my PSU. I'm really just a novice and can use all the
help I can get :)
The only time having a DVD-ROM and a HDD on the same channel would cause any
slow-down is when both are being accessed at the same time. Even that
wouldn't slow it down much, if any. Like if you were copying from the DVD to
the HDD, the HDD is that much faster than the DVD that it would be spending
most of it's time waiting for data anyway.

Thanks so much, Misfit. I think I will slave the DVD-rom to the HDD, then
master the DVD burner on the 2nd channel with the CDRW as slave (or perhaps the
other way around?)

He helps a lot of people here.

It doesn't really make a difference which way you put the writers on the
second IDE. Having said that, I'd put the one I intend to use the most as
the master, just 'cause that's the way I do it. Or just whatever's
easiest/tidiest for the cable lay-out/airflow.

Cheers,

Ok, thanks a lot. I really appreciate your help :)

I know the top 2 bays take the rails for sure. Not sure about the third bay
though. I did find a set of rails but unfortunately they're for the 3 1/2 inch
bay.

For some reason they don't have rails in the bottom 5
