The updated Windows 2000 adminpak.msi you will find in
C:\WINNT\ServicePackFiles
This one won't work on Windows Server 2003, you can download the
Windows Server 2003 tools from download.microsoft.com do a search for
adminpak.msi

At this point, I would suggest for Jerry to junk this installation, perform
a Metadata cleanup of AD and reinstall the server properly. This is getting
complicated for Jerry and causing undo extra work. Maybe we can just clean
it up and start from scratch? What do you think?

Jerry, if you need specific info on this, please post back.

Hmm, I dunno He still hasn't verified the existence or lack thereof of the
GC blank "A" record.
I'd be interested if is there. I think this is GC problems, but first he
needs to look in ADS&S for even if he has a GC.

Good point to straighten that out. Check to make sure the GC is registered
and it believes it is. A dcdiag /v (on the W2k server) will show that as
well as in Sites & Services.

As for Jerry, I was talking about trashing the server that is giving you all
the problems (the W2k3 server), not the good W2k server.
