Can't access 2nd HDD

That was a great website Bob, but I didn't see anything that helps me with
vista. I just hope my friend's copy of WinXP will be able to read my drive
and then I'll back the info up and then reformate the drive into a basic
drive for Vista. I'll do this Friday night and let everyone know.
A lesson learned: back up your drives! LoL I always knew I needed to just
never did. So until it happens to you...

The first thing you have to do is make the dynamic disk online.
Have you tried the procedure to reactivate an offline dynamic disk?
Select Help in Computer Management and search for Reactivate.
Then follow the steps to reactivate a dynamic disk using command line.
 
Thanks Andy, that was a new ray of hope and it almost worked but, there was
an error that read "DiskPart encountered an error while onlining the objects
in the pack associated with the selected disk." Tried it a few times and was
unsuccessful.
 
So Friday night I went over a friends house and his machine had WinXP Pro on
it so I just put the HD in and attatched the external then just dragged
everything to the external from the internal HD. Now the internal HD is in my
machine and running fine. Darn Dynamic Discs.
