It would have been better if you had copied the complete error message here.

Check on the advanced tab of your account that you have set POP to Port 995
with SSL checked.
If it is not that, then we need the unedited error message.

Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

I to am having a similar problem with sending email. I am trying to reply to
a craigslist posting and it gives me a couple of errors and I am not too sure
what to put in certain areas. PLEASE HELP ME????

How do you normally send email?
Who provides your email service? Or to ask that question another way,
what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?

The host 'smtp' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'test message', Account: 'pop3', Server: 'smtp', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Gary, the above is what it is telling me.. my isp is at&t.. thanks let me
know what you think.

my error is. The host 'winows server' could not be found. Please verify
that you have entered the server name correctly.
How do i know if its correct and if it isn how do i fingte right one and
change it

"windows server" is not a valid mail server name. Each mail service
provider has their own mail servers. You get the correct mail server
names from your mail service provider. Who provides your email service?
Or to ask that question another way, what is the part of your email
address after the @ symbol?
Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to
set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of
your email service provider. If you currently don't have an email
address, we can help with that also.
