Can I get a refund for Vista?

The OEM license agreement changed significantly in August of 2006. There is
no longer any requirement to sell hardware with an unopened OEM pack to a
system builder. Anyone who claims to be a system builder is a system
builder. The key point is it must be an unopened OEM pack with the OEM
license intact on the outside of the package. Once opened the software
cannot be sold but must be installed on a computer. There are OEM one packs
available. You cannot open a multi pack and sell individual units. Many
resellers, some of them very large, ignore this last part.

I don't see how you could get a refund for an OS that has been loaded on a
machine. They have problems with people copying the DVD and redistributing
them. But for a solution, you might try running Virtual PC 2007 and
Virtualizing a 32bit machine to VPN into your work.
