You missed the information entirely. There is no such thing as a
CD+R. There is only the one format (type of cd) within which there's
a write-once type (CD-R) and a rewritable type (CD-RW) that can be
erased and reburned. The "W" indicates disk can be erased and reused
with that designation being common to both CDs and DVDs. There is
DVD-R (& RW) as well as DVD+R (& RW) and with them it does matter as
not all dvd units (both pc drives and stand alone players) recognize
both formats.
CD+R or CDR IS CD +R. The + just isn't usually used; nothing
is used unless it's ... -R in some places, other places they use the "+"
to make positive differentiation.
But you do your own research, you're the one making the challenge and
trying to confuse people; lots of hits, a few only blatherskiting, most
reasonable, and some very good about the explanations of +R. On Google,
"CD+R" results in ~ 1,410,000 hits; a lot of hits for something that
doesn't exist. And the explanation you need is right on the first page
in at least two of the offereings from reputable sources.
Before going too far with blanket statements please THI*M*K first! <g>.
