Can I add another HD?

I gather that despite the HD having 40 pins (I counted 39 actually; I
assume there's one missing to identify correct orientation), the
correct type of cable is called '80-pin IDC cable, yes?

Yep, just make sure its of legal length, no more than 30" 45cm

Yep, just make sure its of legal length, no more than 18" 45cm
 
Here is just an idea: Get an USB box and use it externally:) or a plastic
box and a USB2IDE adapter + power supply:) I'm using this:)

Or Clone ur present HDD to the new one, use the new one as master then use
the old on as a USB drive:)

Use Powerquest Drive Image to clone:)
