Buy a Mac...

Probably because Apple is more proactive. They update BEFORE they are
exploited! And don't believe that obscurity myth. Most of OS X's exploits
have thus far been 'theoretical' in nature.

Look into Carbon Copy Cloner or Superduper if you want good Mac backup
utils. They don't get easier than one button!

lame, lame, lame. MS doesn't wait for someone to exploit a vulnerability.
If they verify a report of a vulnerability by one of the security research
groups they issue a patch. You talk as though it is OK to have a bunch of
vulnerabilities in OS/X as long as Apple happens to catch them early enough.
The important point is that the vulnerabilities are there and have to be
detected just like in Windows. Stop cheerleading and start thinking.

I am not a fan of Linux. I'm just saying that if I had to use a Linux
distro I think I would like SuSE the best (not mind it the least?). I don't
like configuring Linux distros one bit. I especially don't like being told
in a user group that there's something wrong with me if I don't know how to
rewrite configuration files from a command shell. So I agree with your
sentiments.

Understand your sentiments completely. I wasn't casting aspersions on your
comments of SuSE 10... just venting. ;-D

M$ buggy, worky, unsecure OS?

"Un"secure, (sic) how? Have you found an exploit? I'd love to hear about
it...I'm sure MS would too.

Or could you just be trolling?

MS doesn't wait for someone to exploit a vulnerability.

Indeed. I've seen more patches coming from MS with the associated
documentation saying that there were no known/reported instances of an
exploit actually being used, than the other way around. A *lot* of patches
are released to address demonstrable/theoretical exploits and nothing more.

Of course I'm not suggesting they're releasing more patches than they need
to; I'm just saying that to say they wait until something's actually
exploited before issuing those patches is simply spreading FUD.

Argh enough of the microsoft bashing. It's real simple if you don't like
Vista or Microsoft go try something else. Apple is every bit a greedy as
Microsoft, don't kid yourself! Microsoft has a Monolpy on the OS market?
Maybe. Itunes pretty much has a strangle hold on the online music thing (not
to mention you can't use anything BUT a apple made Ipod to play it on). I
have used Mac OS, its has just as many flaws as any other OS does.
