Building a PC - what to wear?

Silly question maybe, i was considering wearing surgical gloves, them
disposable ones, when building my PC....would you advise it or not?

Natural fibres if you wish, and a gimp chain, oops I mean a antistatic
strap with 1 MOhm impedance, earthed. I know a lot of those here don't
wear them, but I take the Better Safe Than Sorry approach. Isolating 1
bit of bad RAM is just a pain in the arse. Gloves, as stated above,
are a waste of time.

Don't forget the bow tie.

Cheers
Jon

I do not advise wearing gloves. But, 100% cotton clothing and a
light spray of water on the clothing to reduce the possibility of
static charges. An anti-static wrist strap is good to wear too--I
like the kind with a light coil cord.

I spritz a fabric-softener solution on the (carpeted) floor of my
workshop. Reduced chances of static, plus it smells nice.

FWIW, FYI, I built a PC today wearing tight (cotton) jeans and a
(cotton) bra (it was hot). :)

For safe building I would say wear a condom. But make sure it is
properly ground.

I work barehanded with one arm resting on bare steel of case.

Power is OFF, with an AT case cable is left plugged into wall. With an ATX
case, power cable is removed from wall socket.

I avoid touching any conducting parts of motherboard or pc cards.
