To help avoid this, before installing the cartridges, hold the cartridge
in one hand and gently tap it on your other hand with the ink outlet
down to drive any bubbles up toward the top of the cartridge.

Make sure you store cartridges with the outlet down, and out of
the mid-day sun.
Laying the pack on its back in a drawer is not a good idea.

You expect good picture print quality
right? To get this the print jets are
getting smaller and inks are getting touchy because of it. As th jets get
smaller they can dry out faster due to environment and lack of use

Yeah, when I was looking for another printer, I wasn't gonna buy th
same brand that I had serious problems with

I was hell bent on trying a Canon, I thought finer print heads mean
more clogs...

I spent a fair while thinking about the problem as my earlier post'
will reveal....hell I though it can't certainly be as bad as the tw
Epsons and many a good comments made in these and other pages 'so
took the bait'. Honestly, since I got it last June/July I have no
ever had to do a nozzle clean yet and never wasted a single shee
through a printer defect

I've never ever looked back and would have no hesitation in buyin
another Canon

Why can't Epson live up to such expectations... instead of clogging o
producing streaks every four or five prints

The finer Canon print head certainly don't clog like the Epsons, i
they used drain pipes for nozzles they'd still clog
