Biodiesel

My old 109 Land Rover runs on the following:
Unleaded, leaded, diesel, red diesel(in an emergency) & aviation gas.
Have tried it on bio-diesel and it needs the odd tweak to run.
Think my next car may well be duel fuel or battery powered!!

Fuel is getting much to costly for my usual 350 mile weekly round trips to London!!
May well considor cutting back or finding a cheaper fuel source.

How can it run on diesel AND unleaded? Thats awesome!

I thought compression and ignition were totally different!

Do not get me started on the cost of fuel. I'm spending £300 a month just on fuel and it's killing me :(

It will not work on neat diesel, but will with a mixture of unleaded.
That said it's not a great performer with diesel & it smokes a lot!!
It's an Ex-Army 2.4 ltr, the Army manual states what it can & cant run on.
