Best printer for refills?

You can use cheap refills in almost any printer but it is generally
NOT a good idea. Why? We know that at least some third party inks
ARE inferior.

I have an HP5550 that I purchased in September, 2002. I've been using
refills from Atlantic Inkjet since the original carts emptied. There
has been no degradation in print quality and the savings are
substantial. I print a fair number of photos and lots of pages of
text, which, even in the 'Fastdraft' mode is very clear and black.
The refill process is simple and clean.

I'm U.K. based. I get my 6 colour HP ink from
http://www.bs-trading.co.uk/refill-hp-deskjet-ink-cartridges.htm
The black ink in the kit is fine for the 58 photo black, but not for the 56
black text, which I got elsewhere but the company has closed. I think the same
H10 black pigmented ink is sold though at
www.inkcycle.co.uk . I seem to only need about 6x3mls for a colour refill when
the ink status shows about 25% left (cautious or what?) so the ink bottles last
a long time. No problems so far.
Had any luck with the HP #59 (grey) carts? I've been unable to locate
any suppliers of ink that have the special grey inks.
