Ha. Now you know how it feels. :OD

The distinction may not be important to most people, but I felt
it was worth mentioning anyway. The fact that personal firewalls
are running on the machine that they hope to protect is important.

Before you use any firewall or AV; be sure to engage Brain1.3 (brain 1.0 is
what you were born with or the original GNU(God Nurtured You) release, 1.1
being you brain after education and maturation patch, brain 1.2 is your

being you brain after installing the safe hex , and common sense computing

You want to know? Because of *clowns* like you who started emailing me
with a bunch of questions about how things work, I came up with *not

Sorry but then I have to say, "not me... not me". :-) I've used OE
without any problem that I'm aware of. The router has a firewall and I run
an anti-virus, so far so good.

Just about all the well known products are equally able to
protect you;
well that is just as long as you also use the following in conjunction
with your firewall and antivirus:

BRAIN V1.4

V1.0 The brain that you were born as created by GOD
V1.1 your brain after installing the k-12 education service pack
V1.2 safe hex computing patch
V1.3 Computing common sense security patch
V1.4 Gullibility and Social Engineering by Hackers removal enhancement

Personally however where a firewall in concerned I use a Belkin router
which comes with NAT (Network Address Translation) and an included
firewall. IMNSHO a router with NAT is just about the best solution for
home (and maybe small business) computing; because getting past a
router is beyond the capabilities of all except the most elite or top
.01% of those that would try and invade your system for dubious and or
malicious intentions.

The cheap NAT router for home or small business doesn't have a true FW.
At best, it may have a few FW like features and maybe SPI. But it's good
enough in the protection, if one doesn't start doing high risk things
like port forwarding. If one starts doing port forwarding, then the
protection of the router is out of the picture for the forwarded ports.
